Chelsea Community Hospital will host the 26th Annual Fall Dinner Auction benefiting St. Louis Center on Saturday, Nov. 2.

This annual fundraiser supports the children and adults with developmental disabilities who call St. Louis Center their home, and will have a special Italian theme this year.

“An Evening in Italy” will honor of the Servants of Charity priests who run the program.

“After celebrating our silver anniversary partnership with Chelsea Hospital last year, we thought it would be fun to celebrate the Italian culture this year, so people will hopefully feel like they’re walking into a Tuscan Villa when they arrive,” says long-time chairwoman Kathi Neuman.

This event sells out every year, she says.

Tickets for this event are $150 per couple, or $100 a person.

After Oct. 15, the couples’ discount drops and tickets are $100 per person, so get your tickets now.

The event begins at 6 p.m. with music, hors d’oeuvres, a wine bar, and a silent auction. An Italian dinner will be served at 7:15 p.m., and Auctioneer Joseph Merkel III will begin a live auction at 8:15 p.m.  It will include a trip to Italy, fine jewelry from La Jolla, art from the River Gallery, hand-made quilts, tickets to the Purple Rose Theatre and sporting events, sports memorabilia, and gift certificates to popular area restaurants and premier golf courses throughout Michigan.
