Chelsea High School Students Competing in NexTrex Challenge, Collecting Plastic

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Shawn Sinacola for the information in this story.)

Chelsea High School students will once again be collecting plastic bags and film, “stretchy” plastic, #4 from Nov. 15-April 15, 2022.

The students are competing in the NexTrex Challenge, which the group won in 2020.

Unlike the 2019-2020 school year, when community members could drop off plastic bags at the WSEC, we will now only be accepting drop offs to the high school during specific dates and times, or by appointment.

The first drop off time will be Wednesday, Dec. 8 from 3-4 pm. To set up an appointment to drop off large amounts of plastic, contact Shawn Sinacola at [email protected] or Holly Reiser [email protected].
