Chelsea Kiwanis Participating in Online Chelsea Farmers Market

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Bob Milbrodt for the information in this story.)

The Kiwanis Club of Chelsea is pleased to be part of Chelsea’s Farmers Market online. Featured there are:

  • 36 ounce cans of our Gourmet Mixed Tree Nuts for $25,
  • five pound boxes of Nitsche’s knackwurst (20) for $25,
  • ten pound boxes of Koegel’s hot dogs (60) for $30
  • car seat emergency identification stickers for free.

There are a limited number of gourmet nuts remaining from our 2nd annual sale.

Chelsea Kiwanis is grateful to the community members who have been supporting our club by purchasing knackwurst and hot dogs throughout the year. Ordering through the Farmer’s market helps our club, and the local groups we work with, by getting the word out to a bigger audience, especially since our food concession trailer has been unused since the pandemic. The knackwurst and hot dogs are the same trusted brands that have been sold for over 30 years at our food concession trailer during the Sounds and Sights Festival and the Chelsea Community Fair.

Please go to www.openfoodnetwork.net between Monday at 7 a.m. and Thursday at 7 p.m. each week to place your order. You can pick up your order on Saturday’s from 10 a.m. to noon at the 5 Healthy Towns office at the Wellness Center.

Monday we will hear from Olivia Vigiletti, development director at Dawn Farm. Dawn Farm is a non-profit treatment center that helps addicts and alcoholics enter the recovering community. Chelsea Kiwanis has supported Dawn Farm for many years. It is rewarding to see folks who have turned their lives around. Olivia will outline how they get results.

Go to www.kiwanisofchelsea.org for more information.

The car seat ID stickers have begun to be distributed to schools and daycare centers, and continue to be available for the asking.
