The Chelsea Women’s Track and Field Team finished fifth our of 13 teams at the MSU True Team invite on Tuesday, March 26.

“Once again, we were led by senior captain Grace Sauers as she excelled in the long jump and hurdles,” said Head Women’s Track Coach Shane Rodriguez.

The 4×200 and 4×400 relays both performed extremely well in the difficult field, he said.

Chelsea was the only division 2 team, as the Bulldogs competed in the “large schools” division, he said.

“I am extremely proud of the efforts of all the girls; everyone is really working hard and everyone is improving,” Rodriguez said, adding, “We look forward to extending our dual meet record of 24-0 over the past five seasons when we take on Ypsilanti on April 9.”
