On Thursday, May 26, the Chelsea Softball team traveled to Adrian to play in a pre-district game against Adrian High School.
The Lady Bulldogs scored early and often, defeating Adrian 16-0 in a 4-inning game. Emilee Underwood dominated in the circle striking out 11 of the 13 batters she faced, while surrendering just 1 hit in the shutout. The win is Underwood’s 17th of the season.
Offensively, the Bulldogs were led by seniors Andi Ever who went 3 for 3 and Amelia Robinson who went 2 for 3 at the plate. Sophomore Jenna Ouellete was also a major contributor driving in 4 RBI’s.
The win runs the Bulldogs record to 29-3 on the season.
The team is scheduled to play 2 regular season games this week, at Monroe Wednesday and home vs. Huron Thursday, before traveling back to Adrian to play Tecumseh in the District semifinal.
