Not only can you find Chelsea resident Susan Vanden Bosch’s Shadow Moon Designs available on Facebook, they are now available on etsy.com. She will also have her jewelry for sale at the Chelsea Depot Artisan’s market during the Wine, Women and Shopping event on Friday, Nov. 10 and Saturday, Nov. 11.
Vanden Bosch started her business in 2022 and has lived in Chelsea for 24 years.
“I have always had a love of vintage jewelry, especially Egyptian Revival pieces,” said Vanden Bosch. “When a relative gifted several unique vintage pieces from her world travels, it inspired me to learn to make myself a few things, just for fun. I shared my new hobby on social media and was encouraged to sell some of my designs, which led to the creation of Shadow Moon Designs.”
Her designs encompass a wide variety of styles that pay homage to different eras.
Vanden Bosch sources vintage pendants and beads, which means customers are buying sustainable pieces.
She donates 20 percent of sales from her Facebook page or in person events to support Mikey & Me.
“All of my pieces are one of a kind,” said Vanden Bosch. “Visiting my Facebook page or my Etsy shop, people will find a wide variety of unique pieces. There’s truly something for everyone.”
