logo_alz(Chelsea Update would like to thank Lisa Vickers for the information in this story.)

On Wednesday, Dec. 13 from 1-4 p.m., the Alzheimer’s Association will offer volunteer presenter training for those interested.

Volunteers will meet at the Alzheimer’s Association Chelsea office at 310 N. Main St., Suite 100 before heading to the Torrance Learning Center.

The Alzheimer’s Association offers community education programs (including The Basics: Memory Loss, Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease as well as Know the 10 Signs: Early Detection Matters) to increase dementia awareness and knowledge in our local communities.

We are very fortunate to utilize specially trained volunteer presenters in extending this outreach, according to information about the event.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer presenter, please join us for training in a variety of program topics focusing on dementia-related and caregiver issues.
