Dec. 6: First Chelsea Area Historical Society Holiday Historical Home Tour

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Dianne Till for the information in this story.)

On Saturday, Dec. 6, a new holiday tradition for area residents and visitors will begin during the Hometown Holiday weekend.

The Chelsea Area Historical Society will be sponsoring a historical home tour. Five homes on East Middle Street, decked out in holiday splendor, will be open from 2-5 p.m.

Histories, both old and new, will delight and bring attendees into the season, and carolers will welcome visitors at each of the stops.

This self-guided tour will start at the First Congregational Church at 121 E. Middle St. where maps may be picked up. The church will also serve as a warming station.

Tickets may be purchased for $15 at Bumble’s, Garden Mill, Chelsea Pharmacy, or the Chamber of Commerce beginning Nov. 8.

A limited number of tickets will be available. If tickets remain, they may be purchased the day of the tour at the First Congregational Church.

Following the CAHS Holiday Historical Home tour, at 6 p.m., will be the always enjoyable Holiday Light Parade on Main Street.

Experience the holiday spirit in downtown Chelsea.
