Education Foundation of Dexter prevails in Chelsea State Bank social media contest

CSB logoThe Educational Foundation of Dexter was named the winner of the recent Chelsea State Bank-sponsored social media contest, the Fight for Education Facebook Contest.

Supporters of The Dexter Educational Foundation logged 905 votes to Chelsea Education Foundation supporter’s 890 votes.

“This Facebook Contest brought much excitement to our Dexter and Chelsea communities,” said John Mann, president of Chelsea State Bank, in a press release.

“Each foundation will collect $1 for every vote they obtained and the winner will receive an additional $500,” he said.

Both schools will be presented with a check at halftime during the Chelsea at Dexter football game on Oct.18. Dexter will receive a check for $1,405, while Chelsea will receive a check for $890.

The Facebook Contest ran from Aug. 12 to Sept. 16.

“Both Foundations did a great job promoting the contest in their school districts,” Mann said.

Participants were able to vote once for their favorite foundation by clicking “Like” on the Bank’s Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/chelseastatebank.
