Fantasy has gotten a rough start in life.

She was found with a small caliber pellet in her arm and a damaged cornea from a traumatic puncture in her eye when she was taken in by the Age of Miracles animal rescue in Chelsea.

“Fantasy has a heart of gold and the spirit of a heavy weight fighter,” said Tara Stone, a volunteer for the Age of Miracles, who says that when Fantasy came to them in the summer, she was sick, injured and had a litter of kittens. “She was selfless and determined to care first for her babies.”

Despite her tough start, Stone says that Fantasy loves people and trusts the ones who have been caring for her. She is growing stronger every day and has now been spayed.

Fantasy is about 3 years old. She has a slight limp, but her range of motion is increasing.

“She also has an enlarged retina in her injured eye, which only adds to her uniqueness,” said Stone. “She is a very friendly cat, who would do well with a quieter home, perhaps with older children, and she tolerates dogs.”

Fantasy has been in foster care for a long time and needs a home. Anyone interested in adopting her can email [email protected], find them on Facebook at The Age of Miracles Animal Rescue or call 734-476-8313.

The adoption fee is $50 which covers his FIV/FELV testing, as well as up to date distemper and feline leukemia vaccinations.

  1. We adopted Turkey but have changed his name to Sergio on account of our love for European soccer. He is the sweetest kitty
and gets along with our other 3 cats and collie. I think
Sergio and our collie will be snuggling together soon.
Thanks so much for featuring Sergio/Turkey on Chelsea
    Update !!!
