Feb. 23: Learn about the Music and Memory program at the Kiwanis Club meeting

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Bob Milbrodt for the information in this story.)

The Kiwanis Club of Chelsea, in its 91st year, holds a weekly meeting on Monday nights at 6:15 p.m. in the St. Joseph Mercy-Chelsea cafeteria.

Featured at each meeting is a speaker who typically begins a presentation at 6:45 p.m. On Feb. 23, Trinh Pifer, executive director of the Chelsea Senior Center will talk about the Music and Memory program.

It’s a new program coming to Chelsea in partnership with Silver Maples, UMRC, Chelsea Senior Center, Ascent Audiology and Hearing, and the Chelsea District Library. Music and Memory is an innovative program that engages seniors dealing with memory loss, through personal connections to music.

The program is funded by a grant from the Chelsea Community Foundation.

Everyone is invited to the meeting to learn about Kiwanis and this exciting new program.
