There will be a donation-based, 6-week yoga class offered at St. Paul United Church of Christ on Saturdays from 9-10:15 a.m.
The classes will begin Saturday, Oct. 13 and run through Saturday, Nov. 17, and will be taught by Joanne Barhite.
There is no fee, but participants are asked to bring “a generous donation of non-perishable food for Faith in Action,” according to the information.
Wear comfortable clothing and bring a mat or blanket. Participants must be able to get up and down off the floor, and can plan to attend once or plan to attend all six sessions.
The Dharma I Basics course is a once-a-week program, working with the same Dharma Yoga teacher for six weeks.
“The emphasis is on learning the Level I Posture series, where students will be led and helped according to their needs and abilities,” according to class information.
Participants “will also learn important breathing exercises, which are key in restoring vitality and a balanced functioning of the inner workings of the body and mind.”
All sessions will end with a guided deep relaxation to rebalance and restore.
Class size is limited so please contact [email protected] for questions or reservations.
