Garden Mill temporarily closed

These seedlings are from seeds I purchased at Garden Mill. Lettuce, beans, peas, herbs. All planted on March 7.

Garden Mill owner Jennifer Fairfield has decided to temporally close the store.

Now is a great time to start getting your garden ready, to start seeds indoors for transplanting when the weather warms up a little, to repot indoor plants, or get new tools and gloves for the upcoming season – and we want to help with that.

We just will be doing it a little differently for the time being.

After careful consideration, we are temporarily closing our store starting March 17. We do not know how long this closure will be necessary, so will work to update you throughout, as we reassess the situation on a regular basis.

Given the current circumstances, I feel this is the right thing to do to help ensure everyone’s safety.

During this closure, we will be in the store from time-to-time – receiving deliveries of great new merchandise we know you are going to want to get your hands on as soon as you can.

We will be checking messages and emails occasionally, so please reach out if there is something you need or want, and we will be happy to arrange to meet you outside with items.

We can also arrange for free delivery.

Local deliveries outside of Chelsea can also be arranged for a small delivery fee. If you’re outside of the area, we are also happy to ship certain items (sorry – our lovely concrete pieces are not shippable).

Thank you for your understanding and your patience.
