Jake Burris MIAA named most valuable diver for 3rd time

Jake Burris, an Albion College junior from Chelsea, earned Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Most Valuable Diver honors for the third time in his career.

He was the runner-up in the 3-meter competition in the league’s championship meet Saturday, achieving a total of 486.80.

Burris won his third MIAA 1-meter diving title with a score of 509.60 on Thursday.

Kurt Jolly, a first-year swimmer from Chelsea, finished fourth in the 100- and 200-yard backstroke events as the Britons finished second in the meet.
