Jan. 19: Chelsea Community Forum to discuss legalization of recreational marijuana

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Jane Pacheco for the information in this story.)

The next Chelsea Community Forum will be held Saturday, Jan. 19 from 9-10 a.m. in the Washington Street Education Center, 500 East Washington St., Room 117.

The format is being changed up for the next three months on a trial basis. Instead of the group deciding on topics when they arrive, one of the topics will be predetermined. There will still be an opportunity to discuss other issues.

In January, the group will discuss Proposal 1, the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Everyone is invited to attend and share their thoughts.

Below are the dates for future forums and topics:

Feb. 16, 2019
Community Mental Health and Wellness

March 16, 2019
Regional Transit/Transportation

The Chelsea Community Forum meets every third Saturday of the month at 9 a.m. at the Chelsea Senior Center, Washington Street Education Center, 500 Washington St.

The group is an independent, non-partisan, unaffiliated gathering of people to discuss a variety of topics and share information and ideas.
