On Wednesday, June 15, at 7 p.m., in the sanctuary of Chelsea First United Methodist Church, everyone is invited to a vigil in response to the mass shootings in Orlando, Fla.
The church is at 128 Park St. (across from The Purple Rose Theatre).
We come together in community at a time when words fail amid unspeakable tragedy. We come together in community so that our silence does not convey assent or indifference. We come together in community to open ourselves to One who can bring new life from our inarticulate, often impotent cries.
The vigil will include silence, prayers, readings, lighting candles, music.
