Sounds and Sights on Thursday Nights, presented by Golling Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Chelsea, continues its free summer concert series Thursday, June 18 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Professional artists perform at 11  staged areas located throughout downtown Chelsea featuring music, dance, comedy, and family entertainment.

The diverse music lineup celebrates the concert series 11th anniversary and includes a Johnny Cash tribute band, Cash is King, at the South Street stage and Americana artists, Escaping Pavement, at East Middle Street.

Acoustic rockers Bob Skon Trio will be at the Glazier Building Stage, and returning favorites, Los Dingos Del Norte perform classic rock tunes at the Clocktower Gazebo.

Singer-songwriter Spencer Michaud takes the stage at The Chelsea Alehouse Brewery and acoustic blues-folk singer, Ian Steward, will be performing at the East Alley stage.  Corndaddy will rock the Sylvan Courtyard stage with a mix of alternative rock and country.

In addition to music, there is something for the whole family including fun balloons for the kids created by 3 Generations Twisters, and A2 Magic at the Clocktower Courtyard.

The Sounds and Sights Chalk Cube is stationed at the Clocktower on Main Street and offers a photo-booth type backdrop and props.  Chalk is available and spectators are encouraged participate by drawing on the concrete.

In partnership with Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase, the Chelsea District Library’s Comedy Showcase features comic Andy Pitz at Katie’s Korner on the library lawn.  Pitz is one of the most sought after comedians on the east coast. His act is part observation mixed with stories about his life and points out the absurdities of life.

Visitors are also invited to explore SculptureWalk Chelsea, a self-guided tour of twelve sculptures located throughout downtown Chelsea.  Each week there is a photo contest on Instagram encouraging viewers to take a “selfie” with the sculptures and post them with the tag #SWalkSelfie.  Click here for details.

After Sounds and Sights on Thursday Nights, SRSLY Cinema presents free outdoor movies at dusk. This week SRSLY presents “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” (PG).
