Celebrate Blacksmiths, Soldiers and Log Cabin Weekend at the Waterloo Farm Museum on June 24-25 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Join us in commemorating over 100 historic log cabins on Michigan Log Cabin Day Sunday June 25. Working blacksmiths, at their forges, will demonstrate and display their practical and artistic wares. A Civil War encampment, with cannon, will be on the grounds depicting the life of a soldier.
Visit with an 1860s family as they prepare meals in our log cabin; hear the tale of Kistie’s flour barrel. Observe and try your hand rug weaving, broom making, flint knapping, and spinning. Bring your instrument and jam to some bluegrass with the musicians.
Tour the farmhouse and outbuildings. Music, vendors and concessions will be available.
