More changes in service at Lane Animal Hospital

A view of Lane Animal Hospital from the M-52 side.

After many considerations and conversations regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and the extension of the stay-in-place order from the governor, Lane Animal Hospital has made the decision to implement some additional changes to our daily operations.

We are implementing these changes as another means to limit exposure for our team members and the community. Our priority is to keep everyone safe while being still being available to care for our patients.

Effective Tuesday, April 7, we no longer have staff in to answer phones and schedule appointments until 7:30 a.m.

Doctor appointments will continue to begin at 8 a.m.

We have scaled back the amount of staff in our building each day to try to ensure the best safety measures for the humans in our practice as we can.

Many of you may have read the Executive Orders issued last week directly focused on veterinary medicine. In keeping up with the Executive Order and with the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association, what is essential will be determined by your veterinarian based upon your specific pet. This is not a one-size fits all situation.

Our goal is to keep everyone, humans and pets, as safe and protected as possible, while still providing the highest standards of care here at Lane Animal Hospital. In following with this order as well, all elective grooming and boarding will continue to be suspended until May as well.

If you have questions or concerns, please call 734-475-8696.

If you are looking for a prescription medication refill, please feel free to send this to us in email form at: [email protected].

You can also request to schedule an appointment through your pet’s personal health page at www.petly.com. This will help us to keep our phone lines open for clients with urgent pet needs.

The Lane Animal Hospital team and our surrounding communities are strong, and we believe that together we will overcome this crucial health situation.
