November Chelsea police report to the city council

Chelsea Police Chief Ed Toth summarized the city’s November police department activities during his monthly report to the City Council on Dec. 17.

He said city officers went on 307 calls for service.

There were 16 traffic crashes in the city and officers made 34 traffic stops. There were 13 citations issued.

Police spent an hour and 7 minutes outside the city assisting the Michigan State Police.

There are 15 open cases. Eight are at the prosecutor’s office and seven are under investigation.
