Don’t miss the Saturday Chelsea Farmers Market this week for a huge choice of fresh plants, flowers, and produce.

The autumn colors abound, including lots of pumpkins for sale.

You’ll also find apple cider and a wide variety of apples as well as many colorful fresh vegetables.

Eggs, seasonings, and honey will also be for sale, as well as breads, cakes, cookies, and muffins.

The Saturday market is located at Palmer Commons on Main Street and runs from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. The Chelsea outdoor markets run through the end of October.

There is a regional (Chelsea, Grass Lake, Manchester and Stockbridge) food assistance program to help get healthy market food on the tables of those in need. It’s aimed at folks who don’t quite meet SNAP criteria. Be sure to inquire at the market.

To learn more about what to expect each week at the farmers markets, visit the website at www.chelseafarmersmkt.org, visit the Chelsea Farmers Market Facebook page, or e-mail [email protected].
