And as a veteran of this sale, be sure to get there early to get the best selection of plants and the unusual varieties.)
The Michigan State African Violet Society will hold a sale on Saturday, Oct. 19 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Matthaei Botanical Gardens.
In addition to African violets, there will be gesneriads and terrarium plants.
There will be experts on hand all day to answer questions and provide growing tips and there is a free seminar at 11:30 a.m.
Matthaei is located at 1800 Dixboro Road in Ann Arbor.
