Honesty and integrity are the qualities that Bob Mock, Jr. says have led to Palmer Auto Service’s decade of success.

The downtown business held a 10th anniversary celebration and open house Oct.19 to thank the community.

Mock said a combination of new and old clients who make Palmer their auto service destination has been a big part of keeping the company busy.

In addition to a Model A Ford on display in the showroom, guests had a chance to meet Driver Tony Pastorino with his modified series race car sponsored by Palmer Auto Service during the open house.

Palmer’s location at 222 South Main St. has been a part of downtown Chelsea’s history since 1912 when the original Palmer Ford-Mercury dealership first occupied the space. The showroom still has antiques and historical photos from those days.

Among the services that Palmer Auto Service provides are tires, brake repairs and oil changes.
