Publisher’s Message: A Christmas Gift For Readers

By Lisa Allmendinger

Aidan, Buzz and I would like to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas.

And, we’d like to reveal our Christmas gift to the community – something that will keep on giving throughout 2023 and beyond.

In an effort to do what we can to unite this community in the New Year, we are planning a huge series of stories that features everything positivity wonderful about Chelsea – its residents, its employees, businesses, organizations and schools.

With so many people reading Chelsea Update each day, it’s our hope for 2023 that the community can begin healing from the past and can begin looking forward to the future while exploring Chelsea together.

We want you to learn more about Chelsea as a community — as told through the eyes, ears and voices of many different people.

Chelsea is a fabulous small town filled with hard working and dedicated folks and residents, unique businesses, top notch schools and hard working organizations.

After reading these stories, it’s my hope that you will remember why you chose to live here and enjoy a ride through Chelsea – all while looking at this community just a little bit differently.

As we turn the calendar page, we hope you will enjoy the stories told by not just the high visibility folks but also by those folks who work behind the scenes.

We hope you’ll take the time to learn about Chelsea from the people who clear the roads, pick up your recycling, and keep you safe. From the ones who respond quickly when those pesky squirrels cause electrical problems or the ones who ensure someone arrives at your door when you call 9-1-1.

Chelsea is home to a huge variety of businesses as well. They serve you coffee and martinis, pizza and filet mignon. They help you find the perfect paint color, office supplies, antiques, outfit or gift. They design beautiful floral arrangements, help you find a new author or age appropriate toy for the child who has everything.

Chelsea is also the home of so many wonderful different people, we hope that 2023 is the year you learn about all of the hidden treasures that make it a place you proudly call home.

We look forward to leading you on this magical, wonderful journey and hope you will sit back, settle in, and enjoy the ride.

Merry Christmas everyone.
