Purple Rose Theatre Chicago-themed gala benefit planned for Nov. 2

The Purple Rose Theatre Company will celebrate its fall production, Superior Donuts, with a Chicago-themed gala event on Friday, Nov. 2 at 5:30 p.m. at the Village Conference Center.

“A Night in the Windy City – Chicago Style Donut Soiree,” will feature a cocktail hour, fall harvest dinner with vegetarian options, live music, a photo booth, live auction and a performance of Superior Donuts, according to information about the event.

The conference center is located at 1645 Commerce Park Dr.

Following dinner, there will be a live auction emceed by Lucas Daniels and guests can ride a trolley car, provided by Tecumseh Trolley & Limousine Service, to the theater for an 8:30 p.m. performance of Superior Donuts by Tracy Letts.

After the performance, guests can enjoy a retro candy and donut dessert bar at the theatre before riding the trolley back to the conference center.

Tickets for “A Night in the Windy City” are $200 per guest, or tables of 10 may be purchased for $2,000. A portion of the ticket prices will be tax deductible, and all proceeds will benefit the theater company.

Featured live auction items will include four VIP sideline passes and club level seats for the Detroit Lions vs. Chicago Bears football game on Dec. 30; dinner for eight at the Common Grill with accompanying wine; and an 18-carat, yellow gold-sterling amethyst pendant from La Jolla Fine Jewelry.
