Recent Obituary: Theresa ‘Terri’ Curtis, Judith Ann Dehring

Theresa “Terri” Curtis of Adrian, Michigan, formerly of Chelsea, age 84, died Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at Lenawee Medical Care Facility.

She was born March 18, 1939, in Adrian, Michigan, the daughter of Raymond Joseph and Grace Ann (Bangert) Schreiner.

Terri graduated from High School in Tiffin, OH, then earned her Bachelors degree from Bowling Green University. She went on to earn a Masters Degree in Science Education from EMU and another one from WMU. She was a Physical Education teacher for many years in the Chelsea School District retiring in 1994. After retirement, she and David moved up North to Gladwin, and she was a substitute teacher in Beaverton and  Gladwin School Districts. She taught Drivers Ed in all three school districts.

No services are planned. Burial will be held at a later time.

Judith Ann Dehring

September 18, 1947 – December 8, 2023

Judith Ann Dehring of Gregory, Michigan passed away Friday, December 8, 2023, surrounded by her family after a strong fight battling cancer.

She was born in Pontiac, Michigan to the late Victor and Vivian Mason. She is preceded in death by her beloved daughter Rebecca (Dehring) Harr.

Judy attended Oxford Dominican where she gained many life-long friendships that she cherished daily. Judy continued her education at Detroit Mercy where she earned her bachelor’s degree. After graduation, she began her career working as a Catholic School teacher for elementary grade-level students.

A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Chelsea, MI. Family will receive friends Tuesday, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
