Tonight, the American Legion Post 31 will host their 44th Annual Winter Carnival beginning at 4 p.m. tonight, Friday, Feb. 5 and the kitchen and bar will be open. At 7 p.m., the popular Euchre Tournament starts and there is a $10 entry fee. You must be 18 years old to enter the tournament.
On Saturday, Feb. 6, beginning at 7 a.m. until noon, breakfast will be served. Also scheduled to begin at 7 a.m., is the fishing derby, which is weather dependent. Fishing Derby staff will check ice conditions determine the safety of the ice before it begins. The derby is scheduled to last until 5 p.m.
From noon to 3 p.m., there will be a Michigan wine tasting and at 7:30 until 11 p.m., Star 69, a live band, will play.
On Sunday, breakfast will be served from 7 a.m. until noon and if weather conditions are safe, the fishing derby will take place from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. Prizes are expected to be presented at 2 p.m.
The popular kids’ carnival will take place from noon until 2 p.m. with games, food and prizes.
The raffle drawing will take place at 3 p.m. and the carnival ends.
Food and beverages will be served all day while the carnival is open.
