Firehouse Fridays originated as a tribute to Chelsea Area Fire Authority’s Captain Matt Tuttle following his death on April 13, 2006 in a helicopter crash which occurred while assisting with a police incident along with Chelsea Police Chief Sumner. Tuttle had also served as a Chelsea Police Reserve Officer.
