Silver Maples of Chelsea annual “Whale of a Sale” Rummage sale is back on Thursday, May 23 from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. and Friday, May 24 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Stop by for some great deals on great stuff.
Residents, family, and staff have donated a huge variety of items including electronics, housewares, furniture, books, movies, jewelry, shoes, art and nearly everything else under the sun! Items are priced to sell, and all proceeds benefit the area community.
Silver Maples residents fundraise each year to award more than $20,000 in scholarships to their student waitstaff, mainly consisting of students in the Chelsea and Stockbridge school systems. Eighty percent of the money raised at the rummage sale goes directly to these scholarships.
The remaining 20-percent raised will help to fund the annual Kaleidoscope Concert series. This series runs monthly from September-April and provides excellent concerts in a variety of genres with no charge to attendees.
