“Dragonflies – Acrobats of the Sky” is planned for Sunday, Sept. 8 from 2-3:30 p.m. at the Eddy Geology Center.

Dragonflies are remarkably beautiful and commonly seen, yet most people know little about them, according to information about the event.

Don Henise will present a short indoor program to learn more about these amazing creatures, and then head over to nearby Mill Lake to find some in their natural habitat.

Bring your binoculars or borrow a pair from the center.

The cost is $2 per person or $5 for a family.

The Gerald E. Eddy Discovery Center is located at 17030 Bush Road.

Advance registration required at 475-3170, and is limited to 25 people.
