Transition Town Chelsea plans investment seminar, pot luck at Senior Center

Angela Barbash, founder of Reconsider, will be the speaker for a Transition Town Chelsea event at the Chelsea Senior Center on Monday, Sept. 24 at 6:30 p.m.

According to information from the group, Barbash will offer “an alternative approach to financial advising.” She is expected to talk about economic tools for local investing, sharing sites, books, and the resources that are available.

She is also expected to facilitate an investment club exercise for the group, during which small groups make decisions on local investing. Afterward, there will be an open discussion.

The potluck portion of the event begins at 6:30, while the investing exercise begins at about 7:15 p.m.

Those planning to attend the potluck are asked to bring a dish to pass and their own place settings. And while considering what to bring, entrees, in particular, are in “high demand,” according to the information.
