Waterloo Farm Museum Pioneer Day pie contest

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Cheryl Greaney for the information in this story.)

Calling all pie makers, it’s time to find your favorite recipes and enter the annual pie contest at next month’s Pioneer Day festivities.

The Waterloo Farm Museum is planning its annual Pioneer Day on Oct. 13 and they are looking for bakers for both the junior (14 years and younger) and adult division pie contest.

Judging begins at 12:30, and participants are asked to bring two pies of the same flavor to the Farm Wagon Tent before 11:30 a.m. in containers you don’t want back because this year all pies all be sold in their containers.

A panel of judges will award a grand prize of a $50 gift basket as well as a second place gift basket for both adult and junior divisions.

If you plan to enter, please call Cheryl Greaney for additional information at 517-764-7704.
