Zou Zou’s Cafe & Coffee Bar is expanding its weekly music offerings with the addition of Wednesday Wines, Rhythm & Brews.

Each Wednesday, local Rhythm and Blues musicians will play live during the evening hours.

“Our music nights have been very successful and well attended,” says owner Marie-Ann Fody.

“We decided to add Rhythm and Blues to the mix of Folk, Blue Grass and other genres that we have been hosting,” says Fody.

“There are so many talented musicians in the area and we believe that downtown Chelsea is fast becoming a hub for live music,” she says.

Zou Zou’s has been offering live music Wednesday-Saturday nights since the early spring, including Thursday night “Open Mic nights which has become very popular. Friday and Saturday nights feature folk along with singer/song-writer music acts, many with local roots.

Zou Zou’s recently started offering micro brew beer and French wines, and will be offering special selections including some unique, and hard to find micro-brewed beers.

“We are very happy with addition of wine and beer to our menu, and have received positive feedback from our customers, especially from the craft beer connoisseurs,” says Fody.

“Our music schedule will be listed on our web site and our Facebook page where you can find everything that’s going on at The Zou,” she says.

Zou Zou’s is located at 101 Main St., at the corner of Middle in downtown Chelsea.
