The Western Washtenaw Democrats (WWDems) held its annual potluck dinner at the Dexter Senior Center on Dec. 19.

Roy Schmidt, chairman of the WWDems, began by noting the good things happening locally for Democrats.

“In the last year, the WWDems have helped to elect a number of candidates to office, like Gretchen Driskell, Kent Martinez-Kratz and Jane Pacheco.  We will continue to support them and others in 2014.”

After an evening of socializing, Kent Brown, the WWDems treasurer, handed out checks for contributions to Pam Byrnes, running for the 7th Congressional District, to Driskell for her re-election, and to Stephanie White who accepted on behalf of the Mark Schauer campaign for Michigan Governor.
