Who will run for City Council in November?

Chelsea logo 2It could prove to be an interesting November in Chelsea.

There are three 4-year City Council seats, two 2-year seats and the mayor’s seat up for grabs in the Nov. 5 election.

Rod Anderson is the only council member, who is not up for re-election.

So, here are the City Council seats available in the November 5 election:

Three seats are four-year terms, which are currently held by Ann Feeney, Frank Hammer and Cheri Albertson.

Two seats are 2-year spots to finish out the remaining years of vacated council terms. These are currently held by Marcia Parker and Dustin Suntheimer.

Also up is the mayor’s seat, which is also four-year term, and currently held by Jason Lindauer.

Those wishing to run for office must specify which seat they plan to seek.

Affidavit of Identities and petitions are due by Aug. 1 by 4 p.m. at the city offices.
