The Zion Lutheran Church is hosting two special events — one at the end of October and one in the beginning of November.

The first event — a vendor show — takes place on Sunday, Oct. 28 from 2-5 p.m., and offers people a chance to buy special gifts while helping the church’s youth program.

The church is hosting the vendor show in the fellowship hall at 3050 S. Fletcher Road.

Nine vendors are expected to attend, including Longaburger Baskets, Tupperware, Thirty One Bags, Scentsty Flameless Candles, Party Lite, Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, Tastefully Simple and Premier Design Jewelry.

The show is open to everyone and it’s a great place to get a jump on your Christmas shopping.

The church will also hold its annual sauerkraut supper on Saturday, Nov. 3 from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 5-10 years and should be purchased in advance.

The menu includes sauerkraut, kniffles, roasted pork, sausage, green beans, applesauce, beet pickles and homemade pie.

Tickets should be purchased in advance by calling 734-475-2784.

  1. Lisa,
We are also hosting a rummage sale October 19 & 20 to help to defray the costs of heating Historic Zion (pictured in the article) The rummage sale runs from 10 am to 7 pm on Friday and 9 am to 2 pm on Saturday. There will be furniture, knick knacks, books, small appliances, Halloween costumes and other assorted treasures. People may also donate gently used items up until Thursday afternoon.

    Thank you,

    Tim

By the way, we would love for you to be able to attend a service… if I know ahead of time, I can give you a tour of Historic Zion. I’m always wanting to raise awareness of the building, so it can get more use through weddings, special services and tours.
