(Chelsea Update would like to thank Bob Milbrodt for the information in this story.)

Chelsea Kiwanis members will be hard at work cooking and serving visitors at the Chelsea Community Fair beginning at 11 a.m. on Sunday and Monday until the end of the free tractor pulls those days.

Then, Kiwanis members will be busy serving visitors throughout fair week, Aug. 22-26.

The club looks forward to the fair festivities each year. The fair represents the largest portion of their fundraising for the year., which is then used to fund worthy needs in the community.

Last Monday, Jennifer Fischer, president of Chelsea Schools PTO gave members an overview of the group’s plans for the school year. Below are some of the events and topics she covered.

Normally, the club meeting begins each Monday at 6:15 p.m. in the St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea Hospital cafeteria, and the speakers begin at about 6:45 p.m. Everyone is invited to the club’s meetings to learn about Kiwanis.
