Beach Middle School volleyball recap

7th grade blue
The 7th grade Blue Volleyball team lost a close match at Saline Monday night. 

They lost the first game 20-25, won the 2nd game 25-23 and lost the 3rd 20-25. Sierra Suntheimer led with outstanding serving scoring on 19 of her serves including many aces. Megan Boughton had 4 serve points, Caitlin White had 3, Emilee Underwood, Molly Sobiechowski and Riley Monaghan 2 each and Mya Purdy and Ruth Eberhardt each had one. Madison Kay contributed outstanding defense.

7th grade gold
The 7th grade gold volleyball team opened up their season at home with 3 solid wins.

The team beat Tecumseh 25-13, 25-8 and 25-9 with outstanding serving lead by Kayla Munson with 11 serving aces. Megan McCalla had 12 serve points, Sam Nye had 4, Amelia Christie had 3, Kierstin Smith and Zoe Toler each had 2. Anna Reisner had an offensive kill. Emma Leonard and Zoe Rezler both played solid heads up defense. 

8th grade gold
Monday night, 8th grade Gold volleyball played their season opener against Tecumseh. They lost the first game 16-25 and then battled back hard in the second and third games, but fell just short of a win. (24-26/23-25)

Leading servers for the night were Olivia Camburn with 10 serves, Ellie McGlashan with 8, Erin Dusenbury with 7, and Kristina Skiotys with 6. 

8th grade blue
Chelsea 8th grade blue volleyball team started their season off with a win beating Saline 10-25 25-16 and 25-21.

Strong serving from Rachel Hein and Mya Spadafore set the pace earlier in the second match. Tess Wheeler played well in the front row swinging outside.
