Flexicodes is a web development shop that works with companies looking to build or improve their current website.

The company began taking on clients last year and is currently looking for office space in Chelsea. Flexicodes recently joined the Chelsea Area Chamber of Commerce.

“In addition, we help with Search Engine Optimization, Website Optimization, eCommerce websites, Social Media Marketing and much more,” said Flexicodes owner Troy Grubbs. “We want our clients to feel like they can bring any challenge to us. If we don’t have the abilities in-house to do it, we have a list of local freelancers on call that we work with on many projects to help out or even other companies we can refer them to that might specialize in exactly what they need.”

Primarily, Flexicodes is a “business to business shop”, but individuals looking for a web presence are also invited to be clients.

“We love to help small businesses gain a larger presence online than they might be able to with a brick-and-mortar store,” said Grubbs. “Our main goal is to help other businesses, no matter the size, succeed online, whatever goals that they bring to us.”

Grubbs has been doing web development for more than 10 years. He started out in the customer service industry, then attended Washtenaw Community College’s Internet Professional Program working as a tutor in their computer lab and earned an associate’s degree. Since then, Grubbs has worked with Fortune 500 companies like Ford as well as small businesses.

He lives in Chelsea with his partner Christine Yates and their four children, Erika Parmelee, 16, Kylee Parmelee, 14, Derrick Parmelee, 11, and Malcolm Grubbs, 4.

The couple chose to live in Chelsea because they want their children to grow up in a “good community with great schools”.

“We joined the Chelsea Area Chamber of Commerce to connect with other like-minded business owners, network with them about our services, and be up to date on ways we can give back to the community,” said Grubbs.
