Demonstration of ReferenceUSA database tools planned for library on Sept. 26

The Chelsea District Library and the Chelsea Chamber of Commerce will host a demonstration of a database that’s available for business owners and other interested residents.

On Wednesday, Sept. 26 from 8-9 a.m., Dan Erker from ReferenceUSA will host a demonstration in the Learning Lab on the 2nd floor of the library.

“ReferenceUSA  is a valuable resource made available at no cost to library cardholders. The database compiles consumer and business data, allowing a user to conduct market research, study customer demographics and competitor profiles,” according to information about the demonstration.

The event offers business owners a chance to spend time using the resource with an expert on hand to guide them and answer questions.

Erker will explain some of the most useful data available and offer practical demonstrations of how to access it. This data base provides a business owner with the tools necessary to effectively market and grow their business, according to the information.

Anyone interested in attending this session may register by contacting the Library at 734-475-8732 ext. 219 or by registering online here.

Spaces are limited in order to keep the group a manageable size for an interactive experience and preserve time for questions and answers.

ReferenceUSA was featured in a brief demonstration at the April 26th Business Resource Center opening reception.  Here’s the link to a previous story that I wrote about that event.
