‘Drummunity’ at the Chelsea District Library on Sept. 14

CDL logo-1Chelsea District Library will host “Drummunity” a drum circle, on Sunday, Sept, 14 from 2-3 p.m. in the McKune Room.

Rhythm is one of the earliest and most accessible forms of music. And music is the way we can connect and communicate with everyone whether we speak the same language or not.

So join the “Drummunity” circle, a fun and empowering activity that will connect you with your family, friends and neighbors. No musical experience required.

Lori Fithian will bring her collection of drums including real drums, pickle buckets, salad bowls, muffin tins, etc.

No musical experience required. Just be prepared for an hour of fun and exuberant drumming. You’ll discover talents you never knew you had.

Fithian has been facilitating drum circles and leading workshops for the last five years.  She has studied drum circle techniques with Arthur Hull (author of “Drum Circle Spirit – Empowering Human Potential Through Rhythm”) and Barry Bittman, MD (neurologist and co-founder of HealthyRhythms). She is a graduate of both of their intensive training programs.
