Jan. 13: discussion on housing diversity in Western Washtenaw County

State Rep. Donna Lasinski (D-Scio Township) will be hosting a town hall to discuss what community-focused, multi-generational housing diversity could look like in Western Washtenaw County on Saturday, Jan. 13, from 10 a.m. to noon in Room 100 of the Washington Street Education Center, 500 Washington St.

The event will cover a variety of perspectives of the community’s housing needs from various leaders and members of western Washtenaw County communities and will include a question-and-answer period.

Lasinski will be joined by community voices including Teresa Gillotti, the housing and community infrastructure manager for the Washtenaw County Office of Community and Economic Development; Nancy Paul, the director for Faith in Action in Dexter and Chelsea; Trinh Pifer, the executive director at the Chelsea Senior Center; Rev. Joe Jeffreys of the First Congregational Church of Chelsea; Jane Pacheco, council member for the city of Chelsea and program and development coordinator for the Interfaith Council for Peace and Justice; along with other western Washtenaw County community members representing students, families, retirees, employees, employers, commuters and more.
