Jan. 31: Informational meeting for Helping Area Response Teams

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Suzanne Courson for the information in this story.)

Learn about a new program, Helping Area Response Teams (HART) on Saturday, Jan. 31 from 1-4 p.m. at the Dexter District Library, 3255 Alpine St.

HART is a new program providing on-sight support services to Washtenaw County’s first responders. By offering basic conveniences such as snacks, water, and a place to rest, HART reduces the risk of injury and improves the morale of local emergency responders.

During this free program, organizers will give a brief overview of HART and answer questions about the program.

HART relies on sponsors and volunteers to fulfill its mission and keep the program running. You are invited to make a difference in the lives of local emergency responders to learn more about how you can help those who work so hard to keep our community safe.

Short presentations will be given on the hour and half-hour from 1-4 p.m. The HART Truck will be stationed outside of the Library for tours and light refreshments will be provided.
