June 6: Annual ‘Fish Day’ from the Washtenaw County Conservation District; order fish by May 30 from fish farm

The Washtenaw County Conservation District is sponsoring a Fish Day event, Saturday, June 6, noon – 3 p.m. at the Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds, 5055 Ann Arbor-Saline Road.

This event is an opportunity for pond owners to buy fish to stock their ponds from Harrietta Hills Trout Farm of Harrietta, Mich.

How Fish Day works:

  • Orders should be placed directly with Harrietta Hills at least 7 days in advance of Fish Day, by May 30.  Call Toll Free: 1-877-389-2514.
  • Minimum order: 25 for any species offered, including: rainbow trout, hybrid sunfish, largemouth bass, channel catfish, yellow perch, and fathead minnows (sold by the gallon).  Cash or checks only will be accepted for payment of orders at Fish Day.
  • Oxygen bags and oxygen will be provided to transport your fish home.  Bring one 5-gallon bucket for every 25 fish ordered to set bags in to help get your fish safely home.
  • Harrietta Hills reserves the right to substitute smaller or larger sizes at an adjusted price, if necessary.
