On Thursday, Aug. 10, the Chelsea Community Fair grounds was a beehive of activity with youth and adults from all venues setting up the barns in anticipation of the arrival of the animals and the projects.

The fair runs from Tuesday, Aug. 22-Saturday, Aug. 26 and more information can be found here. You can also keyword search Chelsea Community Fair on Chelsea Update for previous stories leading up to the 80th annual event.

This year’s livestock show looks to be the largest entry in years including about 100 hogs, 14 horses, about 45 sheep, about 18 steer and eight dairy entries from all breeds set to show. And then there are also the goats and the feeder calves and the rabbits and poultry as well. So animal lovers, be sure to visit this year’s fair.
