Chelsea Field Hockey is hosting a May 31 Informational Meeting at the Washington Street Education Center (WSEC) at 6 p.m. for parents and youth interested in playing field hockey this fall.
Chelsea Field Hockey is a fall sport for Chelsea High School and Beach Middle School students, entering sixth through 12th grades. The team welcomes return players, multisport athletes and first-time participants.
At the May 31 meeting, coaches will be available to answer questions about the forthcoming fall season.
Online registration for the fall teams and Chelsea Field Hockey’s June Whip-It Camp is now open at www.chelseafieldhockey.org. The team provides a handy resources page on its website to aid in the registration process.
Key deadlines include camp registration by June 1 to save on the camp fee. The fall team registration deadline is July 15. All paperwork and spirit wear orders are due July 15 as well.
Chelsea Field Hockey is the 2015 Division 1 Champions and State Runner-Ups. The team was formerly known as the Washtenaw Whippets. As the Whippets, the club organization germinated five school teams: Dexter, Saline, Chelsea, Pinckney and Gabriel Richard. In 2015, the team name changed to strengthen the connection to Chelsea High School’s athletic program.
