The Chelsea area has a new consignment store, and it’s called ‘Round About A Baby And Kids.

It opened in mid-December at 18650 West Old US 12 in the same facility as USArtQuest, immediately off I-94 at exit 157.

Owner Kate Astrakhan liked the open space that also provides creative activities next door.

“My daughter recently informed me that I was soon to be a first-time grandmother, which is very exciting but also sobering,” said Astrakhan. “When I went looking for a quality resale shop for baby clothes in the area, I discovered there are none. Local parents have enough responsibilities without having to drive nearly 40 miles to the nearest children’s clothing reseller, so I decided to open a true consignment store that’s more convenient for parents in the Chelsea, Dexter, and Jackson area.”

The consignment shop specializes in children’s clothing, books, toys, and furniture from newborn to 12 years old as well as sports equipment for kids.

‘Round About A Baby And Kids is part of ConsignChelsea, which is Astrakhan’s partner company that

provides furniture consignment space. The shop consigns furniture, home decor, art and more.
