Nov. 13: Chelsea Kiwanis to hear from Trinh Pifer

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Bob Milbrodt for the information in this story.)

This week, the Chelsea Kiwanis Club will here from Trinh Pifer from the Chelsea Senior Center.

We enjoyed seeing our Kiwanis family last Monday night. Representatives from St. Louis Center’s Aktion Club have helped us with our food concession all year and are preparing to sell their holiday greeting cards at local churches.

The Chelsea and Dexter Key Clubs have been collecting for UNICEF, funds going to provide vaccines to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus. U of M Circle K is having a 24-hour day of service today and they have more than 150 members serving the community with many projects.

We will all work together in Chelsea today raking leaves for seniors.

The club meeting begins each Monday at 6:15 p.m. in the St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea Hospital cafeteria, and the speakers begin at about 6:45 p.m. Everyone is invited to the club’s meetings to learn about Kiwanis.
