The Chelsea boys track and field team finished the dual meet season without a loss when it downed both Dexter and Lincoln on Tuesday in Dexter.
“We were able to cruise through the SEC with a perfect 5-0 record this year, thanks to consistent performances across the board,” said coach Eric Swager.
A few highlights of guys who aren’t highlighted a lot in such a star-studded team, Swager said.
Louis Happy, who set a PR in all four of his events last night.
Chris Roush, who won the HJ against Dexter and set a lifetime best open 400 time
Cam Cooper, who was solid in 4 events, and a lifetime best long jump
Connor Gilbreath, who set a PR in both of his distance events.
Josh Wilkerson, who vaulted 11’0′ to win the meet against Lincoln.
Jensen Holm, who won the 300 hurdles against Lincoln with a PR
Plus, the coach said, “There were many other guys who scored points and improved a lot. We need to keep things rolling as we shoot towards regionals.”
