Robert Butler of Chelsea passed away at the age of 86 on Sept. 8, 2017 with loving family by his side.
Robert, the son of Ishmael and Mildred (Turnquist) Butler, was born in Detroit, Michigan on Feb. 2, 1931. He grew up in Livonia, graduated from Plymouth High School, and served in the Air Force during the Korean War. On Aug. 20, 1955, he married Doris Gilson and moved to Chelsea. Robert worked for Dana Corporation for 37 years, retiring in 1992. He loved his family and enjoyed traveling, fishing, visiting casinos, and spending time at their cabin in northern Michigan.
Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to Arbor Hospice.
